Around the World – A Dream Come True
I caught the travel bug very early in life traveling with my parents throughout Europe and it was always exciting to me to see new places. It was then that I learned that there was so much beauty in the world to see and I began traveling on my own immediately after high school. I was really passionate about it and I always strived to take jobs that supported my travel ambitions. Thank you to my parents for igniting my travel passions. In my early 20’s, I had always dreamed about going around the world and I have finally made that dream come true.
I would say that my trip around the world was a bit more spontaneous and was in no way planned right from the start. The trip began with a trip from Munich to Dubai to visit a destination I have visited Dubai many times and always enjoyed this beautiful city. This was also a place where I knew I could warm up a bit after a cold winter. It was in Dubai that I realized that now was the time to circumvent the globe and make that dream come true. It was also here that I started thinking of some bucket list places and the first one that came to mind was the Maldives.
Each step of the way was planned just one destination at a time and soon I was in one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Maldives. Here I was enjoying crystal clear blue waters, white sand beaches, warm weather, and beautiful sunsets and the Four Seasons Resort in Kuda Huraa was beyond amazing!
Where to go next? Thailand! My next stop was Bangkok with the idea that this was a stopover with Phuket in mind for my ultimate destination here. In Phuket I sought out new experiences such as getting in a cage with four grown tigers but it was the baby tigers that I enjoyed the most. They are truly precious!
Next up was Singapore, one of my all-time favorite destinations to visit. This city is clean and beautiful and the people are always very friendly. I love the amazing shopping, the restaurants, the beautiful rooftop restaurants, the infinity pool on the 57th floor at Marina Bay Sands, all showing that gorgeous skyline in tropical weather that make this a destination I never get tired of.
Where to next? Tokyo. At this point I had already been to over 60 countries but had never been to Japan. I enjoyed this unique place in the world and want to return soon to Japan. Here I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Tokyo. As they say at this hotel, they “elevate luxury to new heights” at one of the most amazing hotels in the tallest building in Tokyo with spectacular views of one the most sophisticated and largest cities in the world. Next up, traveling to the United States with my first stop in Hawaii – a great place to start!
I had never been to Hawaii and was not disappointed with my visit to Maui. On this island paradise, I saw Humpback whales, remote trails in lava fields, gorgeous shorelines and beaches, gorgeous sunsets, and the spectacular Road to Hana where you can find steep drop-offs from the jungle to the ocean, waterfalls, and beautiful scenery with turn on this curvy road. Here I stayed at the Four Seasons in Wailea as well as the Fairmont Kea Lani. Both Hotels were amazing!
Next up, Los Angeles! Returning to the city I had visited in my early 20’s to enjoy Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and many amazing American icons.
My last stop in America was New York City. There is so much to see and do here and once again I have an amazing experience in a city that I enjoy every time I visit.
Finally, it is back to Europe with my flight to Munich and completing my amazing journey around the globe. This is a trip that like so many before that I will never forget. I am so thankful for all the places I have visited, the people I have met, the experiences I have had. I am always looking forward to my next adventure because I have a strong sense of wanderlust and living my life to the fullest and following my dreams.
